ARTHUR'S DAY: Histeria Tiada Henti Dalam Konser The Script di Jakarta

Jakarta - Band The Script tampil sebagai bintang utama dalam acara 'Guinness Arthur's Day 2011' di Jakarta. Histeria tiada henti pun dituai band asal Dublin, Irlandia itu sepanjang pertunjukan mereka.

'Guinness Arthur's Day 2011' dibuka dengan penampilan Mike's feat Groovyland sekitar pukul 19.15 WIB. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan aksi Gugun Blues Shelter mulai menghangatkan Pullman Ballroom, Central Park, Jakarta Barat, Sabtu (12/11/2011).

Penampilan Mike's feat Groovyland ciamik dengan meng-cover lagu-lagu seperti '1976' milik Smashing Pumpkins, 'Sweet Disposition' milik The Temper Trap, 'Stay' milik U2, 'Viva La Vida' dan 'Every Teardrop is A Waterfall' milik Coldplay dan 'Dakota' milik Stereophonics. Danny cs pun berhasil menarik perhatian penonton yang menantikan penampilan The Script.

Gugun Blues Shelter membuka penampilan mereka dengan lagu 'Turn it On'. Tepuk tangan penonton sontak ramai terdengar. Penampilan band yang digawangi oleh Gugun (vocal, gitar), Jono (bass) dan Bowi (drum) itu cukup menyita perhatian penonton dengan nuansa blues di setiap lagu mereka.

Setelah penampilan Mike's dan Gugun Blues Shelter, gemuruh penonton menyambut penampilan The Script ke atas panggung. Lagu 'You Don't Feel a Thing' pun membuka konser pertama mereka di Indonesia.

Usai lagu pertama sang vokalis Danny O'Donoghue, sepertinya tak mau lupa menyapa ribuan penggemar yang setia menunggu mereka. Lagu 'Talk You Down' pun didendangkan usai sang vokalis menyapa para fans mereka.

"Selamat malam. Apa kabar?" ujar Danny di sela-sela penampilan mereka.

"Terima Kasih, Jakarta," tambahnya .

Suara yang prima dari Danny menjadi nilai lebih dari penampilan perdana band yang baru merilis dua albu itu. Namun dua personel lainnya Mark Sheehan (gitar) dan Glen Power (drum) pun tak kalah prima dan benar-benar membuat ribuan penonton terkesima oleh penampilan mereka.

Meski mengunakan tata panggung yang cukup sederhana tak mengurangi keramahan dari band peraih penghargaan sebagai Band terbaik di Danish TV Music Award 2009 itu. Bahkan Danny terlihat beberapa kali menaiki pagar pembatas untuk hanya 'berduet' dengan para penonton.

Bahkan di saat mereka membawakan lagu 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', Danny sengaja mengajak ribuan penonton yang memadati arena konser untuk berduet tanpa iringan musik. Koor penonton tak terelakan membahama di Pullman Ballroom, Central Park. Seakan puas dengan animo para penonton mereka pun berjanji akan kembali ke Indonesia. Danny menggelengkan kepalanya tanda terkesima dengan para penggemarnya di Jakarta.

"Kita akan kembali lagi, aku bisa merasakan perasaan kalian dari atas panggung ini," tutur sang gitaris, Mark Sheehan.

Total 13 lagu dibawakan The Script di penampilan perdana mereka. Hits-hits mereka seperti 'If You Ever Come Back', 'Before The Worst', 'The End is Where I Begin', 'Science and Faith', 'Nothing', 'Breakeven', masuk dalam songlist yang dibawakan oleh mereka.

Penampilan mereka ditutup dengan lagu 'For the First Time'. Setelah encore beberapa menit, Danny muncul dengan menyelendangkan bendera Indonesia di pundaknya. Gemuruh penonton pun menuntun mereka turun dari panggung.

Bait terakhir lirik lagu 'For the First Time' terus diulang-ulang. Bahkan setelah Danny menutup perjumpaan ternyata mereka kembali menyanyikan bait lagu tersebut. Tak heran bait itu terus tergumam dari para penonton sambil perlahan meninggalkan arena konser.

Rona puas dan bahagia pun terpancar dari ribuan penonton. Danny, Mark dan Glen pun tidak kalah senangnya bisa menghibur penggemarnya di Jakarta. (via detikhot)

Personel The Script Pernah Jadi Turis Backpacker di Jakarta

Jakarta - Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang kerap dikunjungi para turis. Personel The Script bahkan pernah menjadi turis backpacker di Jakarta.

Detikhot mendapat sedikit waktu dari promotor acara 'Guinness Arthur's Day' untuk berbincang lewat teleconference bersama Mark Sheehan sang gitaris. Wawancara teleconference dilakukan di gedung Sentra Senayan III, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (2/11/2011).

Mark dan Glen Power (drum) meladeni pertanyaan dari sejumlah wartawan yang hadir. Mereka menceritakan betapa senangnya bisa singgah konser ke Jakarta pada 12 November 2011.

Khusus bagi Mark, kunjungannya ke Indonesia nanti akan jadi ajang rendevous baginya. Sebab, Mark pernah ke Jakarta sebelumnya. Ia menjelajahi Jakarta sebagai turis backpacker bersama sang vokalis Danny O'Donoghue.

"Itu terjadi sudah lama. Sekitar 10 tahun lalu ketika kami akan memulai The Script. Kami pergi sebagaibackpacker ke Jakarta," ujar Mark.

"Saat itu yang ada di pikiran kami hanyalah jalan-jalan ke tempat yang bisa kami jangkau. Keluar dari rutinitas kehidupan barat dan kami tiba di Jakarta," lanjutnya.

Punya band yang cukup digilai pecinta musik di Indonesia tak pernah terbayangkan sebelumnya oleh pria berkepala plontos itu. Apalagi Mark mengaku sering mendapatkan pesan via Twitter dari penggemar di Indonesia.

"Yang jelas kami harus kembali ke Indonesia setelah perjalanan yang telah lewat itu. Kali ini kami pasti mendapatkan hotel yang lebih bagus dari ketika kami backpacker," canda Mark.

Lalu apa yang dilakukan Mark dan Danny selama di Indonesia dulu?

"Ya hanya jadi turis saja. Jalan-jalan dan lihat kiri-kanan, tak ada yang mengenal kami. Saat itu tampang kami sama seperti turis lainnya kok," jelasnya. (via detikhot)

Album Science & Faith: Ketika The Script Menulis Kisah Penyemangat

Si The Man Who Cant be Moved kini telah membuka lembaran barunya lewat album kedua. The Script pun menuliskan kisah-kisah cinta yang bisa jadi penyemangat hidup Anda.
Album kedua The Script ini sebenarnya telah dirilis pada 10 September 2010. Namun jika hingga kini Anda belum menemukan album pop rock soul yang sempurna secara keseluruhan, Science & Faith bisa jadi salah satu referensi Anda.
Nama The Script sangat cocok sekali disandang band trio asal Irlandia ini. Lagu-lagu mereka bercerita seperti sebuah naskah film. Dari awal terjadi sesuatu hingga pemecahan masalah. Kata-kata yang digunakan oleh The Script pun tak bertele-tele dan terkesan dipaksakan.
Album ini digarap di London dan California. Hasilnya pun tak sia-sia. Langsung saja menuju lagu-lagu mereka yuk.
Lagu-lagu The Script dominan dibalut piano dan gitar akustik di bagian awal. Nuansa pop khas mereka sangat kentara.

Bagian awal lagu Science & Faith percaya atau tidak mirip dengan lagu Facebook GIGI. Tapi jangan salah sangka, GIGI merilis lagu itu terlebih dahulu ketimbang The Script. Begitu memasuki tengah lagu, Anda akan merasakan nuansa musik Temper Trap. Tapi tidak sama persis, nada-nada soul lebih berasa.
Single ter-gres mereka di album ini adalah If You Ever Come Back. Nada-nada rap terselip di beberapa bagian. Anda tergila-gila dengan The Man Who Cant be Moved? Lagu ini jadi langkah selanjutnya The Script yaitu Long Gone and Moved On.

Pasti sudah pada tau judul diatas kan,yak bener banget itu lagu dari The script - the man who can't be moved,lagu sekitar tahun 2008nan.

Lagu itu memang udah lama banget tapi entah kenapa akhir-akhir ini gue lagi suka denger dan nyanyiin tuh lagu,karena lagu itu mempunyai makna yang dalem banget *sumur kale dalem*.

Lagu The Script yang ini mengandung arti seorang pria yang tidak bisa kemana-kemana dalam arti berat sekali melanjutkan hidupnya ke depan tanpa bersama kekasihnya yang lalu. Maka pria itu ingin menunjukan kepada mantan kekasihnya bahwa pria itu masih mencintainya,sehingga ia berdiam diri menunggu di perempatan jalan, dimana itu menjadi tempat awal bertemu dengan mantan kekasihnya.Yang dimana pria itu berharap mantannya akan sadar bahwa pria itu masih menyayanginya.
